Well, if I/O degradation could be limited to just when a file error occurs, it is really a mute point. Why? Because when file error occurs, Ztree is sitting and spinning for quite some time doing it's file error checking, etc. and at that point an extra 1-2 seconds for I/O file read/write to log file is inconsequential to the user. Ztree speed degradation will go way down when it hits file read errors, so a little addition I/O degredation of speed is no issue at that point.

IF, such a file-error-log-when-set-to-automatic-skip-of-error- couild be implementated withut a lot of coding effort, it provdies a level of safety for the user, that at the very least prevents the user from starting some other Ztree length sessioon to get the same information -- SAVES USER TIME.

This could all make Ztree reputation BETTER, not worse
