> I cannot get rpVT to recognize ZTree.
There's another important issue:
rpVT hunts for ZTreeWin windows which meet some conditions:
1) the window title must contain the string "ZTreeWin" somewhere,
see http://www.ztw3.com/forum/forum_entry.php?id=92221 by Liviu
2) the internal window class must be "ConsoleWindowClass" (or "tty" for old w9x),
see http://www.ztw3.com/forum/forum_entry.php?id=92209 (by Ben, found no better)
at 1)
I have configured my ZTree window titles without "ZTreewin".
So as a workaround, I regularly start rpVT from eXecute window with the following commandline:
start "ZTreeWin" "%#ZTHome%\rpVT\rpVT.exe" /zd"%#ZTHome%" & sleep 1
Due to the 'sleep 1', the window title "ZTreeWin" is present for 1 second, and this is enough for the upstarting rpVT.exe to find the title and sync to the window.
at 2) Does anyone have rpVT successfully running win7 64bit ?
I forgot:
3) rpVT can sync to max. 3 ZTree instances only.
(NOTE: The 4th can't be synced, but if you close another instance and use the new one, ie move highlight, it syncs.)
4) rpVT can only listen to one ZBAR.DAT path/file.
Workaround: if you have two ZTree directories, put a rpVT directory under each of them, launch both and let each listen to 'its' ZBAR.DAT on the ZTree parent dir.
That's why the above commandline contains the part /zd"%#ZTHome%".
