The pdf and mdb viewers require acrobat reader and microsoft access to be installed and use them to display the results inside the XFile window. So this capability also requires external programs. I have always felt that if you are going to use external programs you might as well use them directly, so, for instance, I have no plugins in my browser to display PDF or play mp3. Instead I tell the browser to display them in my favourite programs (which are not acrobat reader or windows media player).
The ability to display these and graphical files inside XFile is a plus due to the use of a graphical interface. The minus is that it is much less efficient, and it cannot approach ZTree in the central functions of manipulating files.
