I notice the same thing about the 'Refresh / mark all threads as read' having no effect. I've been using Firefox for about 8 years now. Perhaps it works OK with Internet Explorer?
I remember a time when going back to the ZTree index after viewing a thread would change the link from blue to purple (FF default). The ZTree forum hasn't behaved that way in years. Although on other sites, I do still get a purple link on threads I've previously viewed.
I do have Firefox set to delete all history on exit. Except the cookies, for which I use CookieCuller. But shouldn't history still be active until you exit? It did behave that way at one time.
I have no idea of the cause or any possible solution. I just would like to reiterate Slobodan's request to anyone that has an answer. It would be nice to have purple viewed links again :)
