Configuration option CO-4P -- "P File window Ctrl/Alt-Up/Down to tag/untag" -- selects:
... No - Use the default assignment of these keys so they control the scrolling of the File Window.
... Yes - Assign the Ctrl-Up/Down keys to perform the same function as Alt-Tag,Up/Down, and assign the Alt-Up/Down keys to perform the same function as Alt-Untag,Up/Down.
The problem: ... I'd prefer to use *both* of those CO-4P functions, instead of always having one of them exclude the other.
A solution: ... Include the Shift key:
Ctrl-Shift or Alt-shift + Up/Down - to Tag/Untag files in a file window.
Then CO-4P could be left at the default 'No', where Ctrl-Up/Down (without the Shift key) controls the scrolling of the file window.
This could make the CO-4P option nearly "obsolete", and expand ZTW's usability by "adding back" the keyboard command to scroll the file window -- concurrent with the more convenient keyboard commands for Up/Down Tagging and Untagging.
Are those keyboard commands, Ctrl-Shift/Alt-Shift + Up/Down, already "reserved"? ... If they're reserved, then this proposed change would require an "on/off switch"... However, if they're not reserved, then CO-4P would select between "the existing" Ctrl/Alt-Up/Down "Yes" configuration, and the new (proposed) "No" configuration (Ctrl-Shift/Alt-Shift + Up/Down) that should easily co-exist *with* the existing Ctrl-Up/Down command to scroll the file window.
