[Q] Can malware delete cloud drive "recycle bin"?   [Q]

In Response to: [Q] Is it possible to programmatically mount and unmount cloud or local USB drives? (Andrew Watson)

With cloud drives such as Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive presumably when the malware encrypts the files it then deletes the originals so the cloud drive would keep a "recycle bin" copy of the original files that could be recovered or is the malware "smart" enough to know how to delete the cloud drive backups?

As far as I know Apple's iCloud Drive doesn't have a recycle bin, or versioning, that the other 2 services do have so I wouldn't recommend using it.
