This is a tricky one to reproduce. I am unable to get a definite reproduction of this issue, but it has happened a couple of times.
Basic process to set this up was:
- Have a directory with 20,000 - 80,000 files all around 100k each.
- Applied a file-mask filter: >s1,-*.x* (size not zero, excluding an extension)
- Tagged all
- CTRL (M)oved from L: drive to F: drive where L: is slow archive drive and F: is ssd.
- Used replace all (Y)es to overwrite existing files.
- Move speed is slow, so operation may take 1-2 hours.
As the files move, they get removed from the list.
About 2-3 times out of 10-20 times that I've run this process, I've found after the operation completes there are sometimes 1 or 2 files that were skipped in the move.
They remain tagged, and if I repeat the operation they move perfectly.
No errors were displayed on screen either.
Mid way through the operation, you can see that it has happened, as there is a single file at the top of the list and the items disappearing are the 2nd not the 1st time.
While this may be a tricky one to resolve, there might be something in the code that points out an issue - I've tried to give as much detail as possible.
