[Tip] Accessing Control Panel in W10CU   [Tip]

The link to the Control Panel has been removed from the eXpert menu (ALT+X) in W10CU.

So has the link to Programs and Features. It has been replaced by the Apps and Features link. This is a Settings menu option that doesn't allow you to sort installed programs and apps by installation date which I find extremely useful when I am diagnosing a problem because I can see what has recently been installed.

The easiest way to access the Control Panel and then the Programs and Features applet is to type CONTROL in the Cortana search panel. You can then right click on Control Panel and pin to Start screen or Taskbar for future access.

You could also create a link on the Desktop to all Control Panel settings called God Mode.

The standard way to do this is to right click on the Desktop and create a New folder with the following name:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

However, I find that in CU the resulting shortcut has no title (YMMV).

Therefore, I have created a Shortcut with the following path:

C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

and the name of God Mode.
