Interesting idea. I've never felt the need for this, have you got some examples of filenames to use it with?

I'd be a little worried that the results might not be what the user expects, and they might end up deleting/moving/renaming something they didn't intend, especially with a large result set.

Over the years, people have occasionally asked for regular expression filters. Is it possible to do this sort of thing with regex? If so, I assume its going to be a complex expression, so perhaps not a good idea.

Are there any programs out there that can do this kind of search in a text file? Then one could dump the filenames to a file using control+Batch, and search the file.
