i noticed that i had to step down one dir level to rename it and then step up to the new dir in cmd box.

CD.. : step down
REN "%OLDDN%" "%NEWDN%"
CD "%NEWDN%" : step up so to speak. this works in cmd box.

> start /dD:\ %#ZtTools%\ZPreview.64.exe %#ZTHome%

AA= zzz.bat
start /dn:\ c:\ztree\ztw.exe /m /y c:\ztree

or

start /dn:\ c:\ztree\ztw.exe /m /y

BB=
SET OLDDN=%6
SET NEWDN=%OLDDN% (%DATE1%)
CD..
REN "%OLDDN%" "%NEWDN%"
CD "%NEWDN%"

if i use AA= to do BB= in ztreemenu, it didnt work.

i begin to think that renaming a directory where the cursor was in ztreemenu is impossible.
