In Response to: [Q] how do i test if a string is a number? (David Wall)

i need to make sure if the target string is a number string, then i must avoid it
but
if the target string is a letter string, then i must pass it to the next batch line.

i could not find how to handle this anywhere in the internet.

here is my trial

AA=
SET /A D3=%D1%
SET /A D4=1/D3
IF NOT "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="9169" GOTO END

AA= causes an error, if the string D1 is a letter string, and at the same time if the D1 is 0 number string, it also causes an error, therefore i cant proceed generally based on what i know.
