For MP3 would it be really useful? Better to rip them again.

For movies on my Plex server, ZTree can be of definitive use! You see, most data is automatically retrieved by Plex from popular online databases, so there are almost no internal fields info, just public and automatic ones. My personal input in the database is mostly in naming folder just the right way for Plex to recognize correctly the movie, and sometimes putting a folder.jpg for poster. So, with ZTree, I could just save tree in text file and backup all folder.jpg files.

For the few movies that can't be ripped again (TV recordings mostly) and that I really care about, I could "virtually" centralized them with ZTree/Junction point F9 scripts, and back up only those.

Thanks for asking the question because answering to it made me think about some solution!
