Manually reset Active Spell Search?   [Help!]

Me too. I’d noticed it, but it never bothered me quite enough to stop what I was doing and write a post about it (so thanks for doing that, John 😊).

So far, my workaround has been to delete the existing pattern character by character using Shift+Backspace.

I didn’t know that double quote simply repeated the search using the existing pattern; that might come in handy.

Is there a key to manually reset the entire pattern at once? That could work too (though I’d still prefer that typing a Shift+letter after having navigated would start a new pattern. Or YACO, as Ben suggests).
