No, you're right it doesn't delete all files.
I checked and my first assertion was wrong.

What Esc does however is to allows to delete every non-matching destination files, despite when Esc is invoked.

For this to be observed, you need a large directory, otherwise ZTree is to fast. :-)

On left side, let's say you have

C:\DUMMY
C:\DUMMY\BIGFOLDER (100Mg)

and on left side you have

C:\DUMMY2
C:\DUMMY2\BIGFOLDER2 (100 Mg)

and let's say BIGFOLDER and BIGFOLDER2 have almost the same content, but with slightly different names.

When I mirror left to right, it first copy \BIGFOLDER under DUMMY2, then delete \BIGFOLDER2. but if I Esc within the process, I'll end up with incomplete \BIGFOLDER and a deleted \BIGFOLDER2.

It may come to ugly deletion as I experienced when I interrupted a process that I mistakenly launched in the first place.
