Would this sort of thing be more generally useful if instead of opening the file, it jumped to it? Ie change to that directory and move the cursor to that file.

Then one could open it, or view it or copy it, or whatever.

Instead of an F9 type menu, it would be something like Treespec or Spell Search. Then you could use the history instead of a menu.

Perhaps Spell Search could be extended to allow full paths.
