Here's an easy solution:

When a Rename-type of command (Rename, Copy, Move) is applied -- and there are one, or more "single"-forward slashes in the "Mask" for Rename, Copy, or Move -- a dialog would appear, saying: - "Press Enter to Delete the 'single /' characters you have selected."

Since the user's finger is already on the Enter key (to initiate the Rename, Copy, or Move command), there would be only a tiny delay (in usually rare instances)... This delay would allow checking the Rename Mask, when necessary, for a possible correction.
