In Response to: [Help!] Running ZTreeWin From a USB Thumb Drive (John Baum)

ZTree will run perfectly happily from any *writable* directory ("folder"), including one on a USB drive. I assume you will want to store the 32bit version of ZTree as it will run under any Windows system. It will write to ZTW.HST, ZTW.INI, ZTW.ZAM in the chosen directory. The Temp/Tmp environment variable on the host machine should be defined and point to a writable directory. ZTree will store its temporary files there.

You should store the following files in the directory
ARCHIVER.BB2
UNRAR.DLL
UNZIP.DLL
ZCOLORS.INI
ZSHELL.EXE
ZTW.EXE
ZTW.HST*
ZTW.HLP
ZTW.INI
ZTW.KEY*
ZTW_CFG.EXE
ZTW.ZAM*
(* include these if you have them)

Then you can just run ZTree. It is best to use a s simple a configuration as possible (eg start with the default window size). That will avoid problems of compatibility.

/Oliver
