But it would not be a common solution, e.g. when the script itself calls any tool(s) that outputs Unicode text,
e.g. to solve the issue reported in https://ztw3.com/forum/forum_entry.php?id=122316 .

As for my needs: I could try if my script could convert the tool output to Unicode,
e.g. piping it through a Unicode converter, e.g. 'iconv -f MS-ANSI -t UTF16',
to eliminate any single-char output, to avoid odd character counts.

Archiver.BB2 says, "The [WIDE] and [UNICODE] switches cause ZTreeWin
to write the files in the list in UTF-16 and UTF-8 format respectively".

Could this be used to control the output encoding?
So that ZTree only then uses CMD /U if the [WIDE] or [LFNW] switch is added?
