I have MTPdrive 3.3 (latest release) installed and registered. Seems to work fine.
PC=Lenovo ThinkPad P52
OS=Win10 x64, v1903, fully patched
RAM= 16 GB
ZTW64=v2.4.191
I can map a file structure from what appears to be the root. I am not sure that I am seeing the Android app folders or not. A screenshot follows:
