I realize that it may be very costly for the Viewer to go to the end of the file to find out the last line. This may be especially costly in rapid Autoview scrolling through many files. I suggest the following: 1. If the Line display is not ON, don't parse the file for the total line count. 2. If it is ON, and the file size is, say, above 5K, show the display as [current/?], which will tell the user to hit End, Home. This would show [current/total].
