Ryan,
I don't understand why you are not simply using ZTree's built-in function to do this. The default ARCHIVER.BB2 file has the PKZIPC.EXE commands to do exactly what you are trying to do.
Just tag the files in the directory and subdirectories you want, then in the Branch window use Ctrl-F5, name the file, then choose Paths (current) to include the root of the Branch directory name.
It works perfectly.
