I do use Shift-Left/Right to adjust the extension width, but I was assuming ZTree had switched modes to spell search, and so I was concentrating on the spell search string and not looking at the file window.
Now you mention it, I can see the extension with being adjusted, and that would explain why the cursor disappears from the spell search string.

So 3. becomes
Once Active Spell search has started, and the shift key is kept pressed down the behaviour of some commands changes
Shift-Left/Right: Move the cursor Left/Right in the spell search string.

Possibly by adding "CO-6L Reassign Left and Right for spell searching"

Re-reading the help file ":" i.e. Shift-; can be used to toggle between the name and extension parts, so nothing new needed for that.

Thanks
Ben
