For the record, the problem of Adobe Acrobat hanging when launched from ZTree running as Administrator is fixed in v2.4.214.

The issue is that Windows creates the variable __COMPAT_LAYER=Installer when ZTree is run as Administrator from any directory not under %ProgramFiles%.

ZTree is now resetting that variable to null at launch, thereby solving the problem.
