Kim,

The Shift-tagging that Darren is proposing requires ZTree to recognize that the Shift key has been pressed, but not released, as other navigation keys are pressed, such as Up, Down, PageUp, PageDown, Home and End.

The question is: Can a console app like ZTree detect that the Shift key is being continuously pressed, rather than released and pressed again?

This same question came up eons ago when we were discussing the design of the Spell Search features.

I don't remember ever seeing an answer to this question.

Whether or not you decide to implement this feature, it would be good for us to know whether this is possible. If the answer is no, it will avoid spending a lot of time discussing the design of a function that cannot, in fact, be implemented.
