Without the Norton Protected Recycle-Bin, this would be the case, because normally a 'DEL' operation in a command shell bypasses the recycle-bin.

Are you using the 'Recycle-bin' option in ZTree when deleting?
In order to compare the behaviour with a CMD.EXE 'DEL', you should have the option set to 'no', because Norton is going to catch the delete anyway, and save the file in the protected recycle-bin.
