Logging is not only about getting a list of files in the directory, it's also about getting a list of sub-directory names.

If you think of a directory as a container, which can hold filenames and directory names, it seems perfectly clear to me that 'logging' is the act of getting this information loaded into memory.
Therefore, a directory name listed with '+' next to its name is not logged.
You simply know its name, but nothing of its contents. This to me clearly justifies the SFW message 'Directory not logged'.
Pressing Enter is what 'logs' the contents - both filenames, and sub-directory names.

Does nobody else have an opinion on this? ;-)
