Occasionally I have tagged all files and used control+Batch to dump their full paths, sizes and dates to a file. Do it again after the installation (and relogging) and then use JFC to compare the two files. It could be helpful to turn on path sorting before dumping.

JFC's S command to show them side by side is useful, as is the D command to highlight which chars are different (to show when an existing file's size or date has changed).
