[Discuss] The Need for selective Filespec history?   [Comment]

In Response to: [Comment] The Need for Testing (John Gruener)

I'm developing some stuff that sends Filespecs to ZTree that I immediately
delete form Filespec history (f, UP, Delete, ESC, ESC).

When I send '*.*', ZTree does not store it in history as we all know, and my macro
does not attempt to delete it (but some extra logic was needed to detect this
special case).

I can control all this, and my history list stays as is.

However, maybe it would be useful (now that Filespec is getting a lot of
attention) to consider a prefix (like '@' used elsewhere) that would prevent
Filespecs getting into the history in the first place. And automated tools
would not need to worry about history pollution/cleanup.

This is not urgent, so I'll jot it down on my ZEP page for later...
