I have a 4NT/tccle batch file that will do the following things
1. Scan the files in a branch and set the created date (c) to the written date (w) for those files for which
c is late than w.
2. Scan the files in two branches and automatically transfer date stamps for matching files (relative path and name) from source to target branch. (The user can select created or written stamp).
I wrote this because the sync program I was using did not transfer created dates from my hard drive to my backup drive and back. Now I use ZTree Alt-M F8 sync for the job and don't need the batch file any more. It will do your job, provided the new files have the same name as the old ones but are in a different branch.
I shall post the file if there is any interest. I also have an f9 menu item to call the file from ZTree taking the branches from the current (split) window.

PS tccle is a free enhanced replacement for cmd.exe.
