I think 999 lines is more than sufficient. Indeed, if I want to write a script that is long or complicated, I write it externally in an editor and call it from ZTree's menu, passing any parameters it has need of. It is much easier to write complicated scripts in a full text editor, where you can easily move blocks, insert instructions, do find and replace operations etc.

Of course there's Ben Kent's visual basic program and Ian Binnie's Vedit script that allow export and import of ZTree's menu to and from text and it might be nice to use one of them to import complicated scripts directly into the menu. So perhaps all that is needed is a warning in the help file and no change in ZTree's behaviour.
