I ran the Posting Statistics, and also pasted the results in to Excel.

726 different users have made at least one posting since 1998. It listed just one as never having posted, so does that mean there have been 726 members ever, and that only one never made any postings? Or perhaps the software was only recently changed to include non posters?

In any case, some people have become "deregistered" somehow. Maybe didn't reregister when the site moved?

In terms of active users, 2002 was the peak.

Looking at a graph of these, we had a steep rise from 1998 to 2002, then a slightly less steep decline to 2008, then it appears to be levelling out around the 100 mark. If I scale the 2012 figure up for the full year, I get 151, so perhaps we're increasing again?

Of those who have posted this year, 44 have been members since the peak in 2002.

Last year we "lost" 51 members who had been members for more than 10 years (i.e they haven't posted for about 18 months)
