This "psexec" method has another advantage:
After running Chkdsk /f for drive C: , I attempted to access the System Volume Information directory with ZTreeWin, however it was again marked: "Access Denied!" -- apparently because Chkdsk restored the "security descriptors" to their original specification.
After rebooting I hoped to see the new Chkdsk log, located in - C:\System Volume Information\Chkdsk\ -- but that was no longer (directly) possible.
I wonder how to write a batch file to copy the "hidden" Chkdsk log files from - C:\System Volume Information\Chkdsk\ - to a non-protected location?
