Firefox hasn't had a title bar for some years now, even before the advent of Windows 8, I believe. Even on Windows 7, the minimize/maximize/close buttons' color is the only clear indicator I have whether the window is active or not... So if Mozilla wanted to support colored title bars, they'd have to implement this feature explicitly.
The same goes for Chrome, though (the skin I'm using on) that thankfully uses a different background color for an active or inactive window.
