Agreed.

Good point. The Ctrl-New Date prompt here looks like this:

First question: Is there room for the Override-Attributes and Confirm switches (F2 and F4 in Ctrl-Rename) ?
I suppose yes: There's an orphaned file size & date in the first menu line.
It apparently is a remnant from single-file New-Date command for current highlight (try it to verify). IMHO it can be omitted.
Which makes room for the needed Override-Attributes and Confirm switches.

However F2 and F4 are already assigned in Ctrl-New-Date. So I'd suggest F6 and F7.
(BTW, never before noticed the Ctrl-Rename F5 option 'increment' - nice :)

Agreed. The text "(Confirm/Attributes)" surely is helpful - but if not present,
one can try out and toggle the option, and one can hit F1 for context-sensitive help.
