[Help!] Bizarre Windows Explorer behaviour - jumps to parent [Help!]

I read one suggestion that it might be triggered by the parent having the Hidden attribute. That's true in this case, so I removed it. Now it's stopped happening.

I added the Hidden attribute back. And it's still not happening.

So how can I ever trust Explorer again?
