Mine says "Wednesday March 10th". The platform language is English US.
I would explore the "~$currdate.XXXX$" options and experiment.
Could be a bug on non-English versions.

I discovred by accident that nircmd speak text "~$currdate.ddd$
says just "Wed". Can't think of a use case for this -- but there are
dozens of localized Windows version for many cultures, so who knows...
