The ctrl-search Scope option that allows only searching the first/last X bytes of each file is super handy and I use it often. The current size choices are 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64K.
I'd like to propose increasing these values, since too often the part I need to search is well past the 64K mark, as within large disk image files and media files, and I'm missing search hits because of this relatively small max scope value.
How about increasing the values by a factor of 8, to have sizes of 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512K.
I've not seen an appreciable difference in search speed between 4K and 32K, so 32K seems like a decent min value.
