In Response to: [Zeta] v2.4.204 Now Available! (Kim Henkel)

These are bugs discovered as a result of testing the fixes reported in v2.4.203. They still exist in v204.

[Bugs] DMode Branch FSpec Counts
Bug 2: The Bytes count is displaying the FMode FSpec count rather than the total size of the listed directories.

Test Results: The Bytes count is still displaying the FMode FSpec count rather than the size of the displayed and logged directories.

[Bug] User file changes can be lost
Bug: In some cases ZTree attempts to write INI files to the Program Files directory.

Test Results: If these files do not yet exist in %AppData%\ZTreeWin, but they do exist in "\Program Files\ZTreeWin," and ZTree is run as Non-Admin, then:

ZTW.ZAM: Exiting from a changed menu gets an error that ZTW.ZA$ cannot be written. The changed ZTW.ZAM is not saved anywhere.

ZTW.INI: Changes are not written anywhere and are silently being lost.

ZTW.HST: Changes are not written anywhere and are silently being lost.

[Bugs] Alt-Sort Unsorted
Bug 2: In all Unsorted cases, ZTree should display files and directories in the file system unsorted order.

Test results:

1. In FMode, Unsorted files are now displaying in Creation Date, Ascending, Path (on) sequence, rather than as they were correctly displayed in v202 in Name, Ascending, Path (on) sequence for NTFS, and FAT-table entry, Path (on) sequence for FAT32 (the default unsorted sequence for both).

2. In FMode Unsorted BSG windows, changing any of the following settings: Path, Order, Charset, F8, F9, or eXit, in any direction, displays the files in Path (off) sequence. Upon exit to the DW and back to the FW, the files are re-displayed in Path (on) sequence.

3. In DMode, Unsorted directories are being displayed sorted into Creation Date, Ascending, Path (off) sequence. In NTFS the default is Name, Ascending, Path (on), and in FAT32 it's FAT-table entry, Path (on) sequence (the same as for files).
