In Response to: [Help!] J.River Media Jukebox v12.0.534 (Frances Wohlfelder)

I have no idea how useful J.River Media Jukebox is, but
it does look impressive.

For my part, here is the free, portable, stuff I have been using
for ages. I gave up on VLC and the Windows packaged players.
Maybe I'm missing some great features, but I'm OK. It works
well with ZTree.

1. Audio - 1by1 player https://mpesch3.de/1by1.html
It has the concept of playlists, but I don't use them.
Rather like ZTree, it is a DIRECTORY player. So, the
way I organize my music on my disks is what I see in
1by1's navigation panel. There is also excellent
keyboard navigation for all actions. The author is
very responsive, too.

Directory Player: directly plays folder contents
Resume play: remembers track and position
Multi Resume for the ten recently played folders
Gapless play · Transition mixing · Audio enhancing
Folder tree file navigation · Directory finder (to play a whole drive)
MP3 decoding by ACM or mpglib
BASS library support (OGG, WAV, FLAC, AAC, MP4, CD...)
File utils: copy, move, rename while play, delete, date change
Scalable Big title view · Rename tool · Folder compare tool
Cue sheet support · M3U Playlist support · Bookmarks
Winamp 2.x input plugin support · WAV export
Track logging · HTTP control and streaming server
Highly configurable · Theme presets · Global hotkeys
Very small size · Low resource usage · Portable

2. Video - Media Player Classic Home Cinema

It just works with everything I throw at it. I update the
K-Lite Codec Pack every few months

This pack includes MPC-HC and the codecs just keep
being added and improved.
