In Response to: [Help!] How to delete a corrupt file (Jerry Schulman)

maybe fix FAT 1st before copying files?
chkdsk /f
chkdsk /?
scandisk c:

FAT16 and FAT32 can cause the very lethal crosslinked file corruptions but they are fast, and no good for storing data but good for OS installations.

on the other hand
I have never seen or had crosslinked file corruptions in NTFS even during power off while copying files, but they are slower and VERY good for storing important data
